Meet Your Guides

Every Guide Has a Trail That Shaped Them

Lee Ann Kim

Lee Ann Kim knows what it means to spend a lifetime climbing.

As the daughter of Korean immigrants growing up in the Midwest, she learned early what it felt like to search for belonging while trying to find her own voice in places where people who looked like her were rarely reflected or understood. That search became the compass for much of her life.

It first led her into journalism, where she spent nearly twelve years as an award-winning television news anchor and reporter, before spending sixteen years building Pacific Arts Movement and the San Diego Asian Film Festival, elevating the stories of the Asian diaspora.

From the outside, it looked like a successful climb.

But years of leadership, responsibility, and constantly carrying the weight of others eventually revealed something deeper: achievement and elevation are not the same.

Through her own healing journey, Lee Ann discovered that trauma is not only what happens to us, but what remains held in the body when our experiences go unseen or unsupported. She learned that lasting transformation doesn't come from pushing harder—it comes from slowing down long enough to listen to the wisdom already within.

Today, Lee Ann combines lived experience with professional training in Somatic Experiencing®, breathwork, Reiki, and psychedelic coaching. More than any credential, she believes healing happens in the presence of someone who can witness your experience with compassion, curiosity, and care.

Louis Song

Louis Song knows that some of life's longest climbs begin with a search for belonging.

Born in Seoul, he spent his earliest years being raised by his grandparents while his parents built a new life in the United States. That early separation—and the reunification that followed—left him with a quiet longing for connection that would shape both his personal life and his work.

That search led him to co-found Proven Recruiting, where he has spent two decades helping people find meaningful work and building a company through changing markets, uncertainty, and growth. It also found expression in his personal life —as a devoted father to two sons, mentor to many, and a practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blackbelt with more than eighteen years on the mat.

From the outside, it looked like a successful climb.

But years of leadership, responsibility, injuries, and life's inevitable challenges taught Louis that true strength isn't measured by how much you can endure alone. It's found in the willingness to stay present through discomfort, to soften when needed, and to keep showing up for the people you love.

Today, Louis brings that same grounded presence to his work as a psychedelic preparation and integration guide. Drawing from both lived experience and professional training, he creates a steady, compassionate space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and discover that healing doesn't require becoming someone new—it begins by coming home to who they've always been.

We tried what we knew. Talk therapy often felt like another place to argue. Vacations provided temporary relief, but the same patterns returned. Work and parenting had quietly become our identity.

The love never disappeared. What we didn't yet understand was that old wounds and unresolved trauma were shaping how we showed up with each other. Yoga helped Lee Ann reconnect with her body. Jiu-jitsu gave Lou a way to regulate stress. Both were invaluable—but neither reached the deeper places that needed healing.

Then, through an unexpected series of events, we found a psychedelic therapist. After a month of careful preparation, we shared our first medicine journey together. In a safe, therapeutic setting, we experienced profound insight, emotional breakthroughs, and a reconnection that transformed our relationship.

We found each other again.

Why We Do this Work

We didn't come to this work because we had life figured out.

We came because somewhere along the climb, we lost sight of our shared destination.

Like so many couples, we got lost in careers. Children. Leadership. Responsibility. We kept reaching for the next achievement while quietly drifting farther apart.

We weren't failing.

We were simply climbing the wrong mountain and slowly drifted apart.

That journey became the beginning—not the end—of our healing. It led to years of continued individual work, couples work,

somatic practice, and ongoing integration that continues today.

This work changed our marriage, and it changed our calling.

We believe these medicines, when approached with thoughtful preparation, skilled guidance, and meaningful integration, can become powerful catalysts for healing—not because they do the work for us, but because they help us access the wisdom that's already within us.

We're also passionate about helping diversify the field of psychedelic facilitation and coaching. As Asian American immigrants, we understand why many communities of color carry understandable caution and misconceptions around psychedelics. By sharing our story and showing up authentically in this work, we hope to expand the conversation, reduce stigma, and help more people discover new possibilities for healing.

Ultimately, our hope is simple: that fewer people spend years climbing the wrong mountain, and more people remember they're not meant to climb alone.

Lessons From the Trail

You don't have to believe in anything mystical to begin this journey. All you need is curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to take each step with intention.

We take this work seriously because you're trusting us with something deeply personal. That's a responsibility we hold with great care.

Along our own climb, a few truths have become steady landmarks.

  • Healing isn't something someone gives you. It's something your body already knows.

  • Medicine can illuminate the path, but it can't walk it for you.

  • Preparation and integration are where lasting elevation happens.

  • Strength isn't pushing harder. Sometimes it's slowing down enough to listen.

  • Transformation doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like returning to yourself.

  • As the world gets louder, healing asks us to become quieter.
